deja vu to last summer when sid and i roadtripped to san francisco?
this time our friend wyn joined + we had a whirlwind few days full of driving, camping in big sur [and the ridiculousness that that entails], seeing college friends in the city, hanging out with our friend abi + her sweet boys for an afternoon and ending with sushi and new friends at my brother’s girlfriend’s apartment. im about it.

sometimes you meet people that immediately draw you in and just inspire you in a myriad of ways. as cheesy as it may sound, lauren and jordan are those types of people. as i flew from kansas city home to santa barbara after their magical wedding weekend, i was just filled with so much joy that i get to know people like them. hearing their story, they make you want to put more of your hope and faith in jesus and his sovereign plan for our lives. hearing [and seeing] the ways that they have consistently loved and served their young life students makes you want to serve and love, better. hearing their best friends give toasts and make testaments to their loyalty and selflessness and example and friendship makes you want to be a better friend. seeing the way that they have brought two families from all over the united states makes you pause and recognize the importance of community. seeing the way that they love each other so well and complement one another so perfectly, it is impossible for your heart to not stir and just swell with love!! lauren & jordan, what you have is real and inspiring and a blessing. i cannot wait to see what an incredible impact you make as a married couple!! thank you so so much for allowing me to be a part.
