if i had a penny for every time i said dang it is just SO PRETTY out here, i can’t get over it!! then i would definitely have $2. steve and cassie were married under the tall trees surrounding zaca lake, a remote ranch 30 minutes into the mountains and away from town, cellphone reception and the shade-less 104 degree heat. i know i say it often but i hope i never stop—it is such a huge, humbling honor to be able to walk alongside families and couples on such an important piece of time. for steve and cassie, this wedding has been seven years in the making, and like their save the dates & wedding signs declared: finally! these two started their married lives in a beautiful ceremony surrounded by family and friends, danced under the twinkly stars surrounded by the local bears (yes!) and deer, and are now off adventuring in the motherland—italy :) my hope + prayer is that these pictures encapsulate the joy and fun and love between these two and the story of the day they became husband and wife:

You can almost feel the excitement and love (that was stirring around that day) when looking through all these beautiful and natural shots. From the endless amazing scenery, to the little nose crinkles, and to the laughs on the dance floor. Just absolute perfection!
